Careers and Progression

Our careers education is regularly evaluated through termly department reviews and annual self-assessment processes.

Activities are recorded using platforms like Unifrog and Compass, and self-evaluation reports are conducted each term. The impact of our careers programme is assessed through progression data, student feedback, lesson observations, and employer engagement. An annual careers review is presented to the Local Board each summer.

University Progression

We offer a comprehensive range of support and guidance for students interested in progressing to university and pursuing a higher education degree. From exploring potential courses and universities to preparing competitive applications, our services are designed to help you confidently navigate your pathway to higher education and achieve your academic goals.

What our University progressing students say

From my experience, the teachers have really believed in me and made me understand that I achieve much greater than I could have ever imagined. As someone who was overlooked and not the smartest in my Secondary School, I never expected that to change and yet the care each teacher has is incredible.

Alternaive Progression Routes

For students eager to gain practical experience and earn while they learn, a wide range of support is available to help you explore and apply for Higher Education and Degree Apprenticeships. Many past students have secured prestigious apprenticeships with companies like Sky, GCHQ, and Morrisons. You may also plan an enriching Gap Year or progress onto recognised work programmes, such as a Year in Industry, to enhance your employability and skills.

What our Alternative Progression Route students say
